Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscapes by Zhou Yong was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 39,013.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhou Yong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Literary Gathering, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 93,750.00 (€ 83,422.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscapes von Zhou Yong wurde im März 2013 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 39.013,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhou Yong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Literary Gathering beobachtet, die im September 2016 für USD 93.750,00 (€ 83.422,32) versteigert wurde.
