Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red With A Little Bit Of White by Zhou Yilun was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,745.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhou Yilun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beautiful Outer Space, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 27,480.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Red With A Little Bit Of White von Zhou Yilun kam im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.745,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhou Yilun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beautiful Outer Space beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 27.480,59) versteigert wurde.
