A top price for Zhou Shaohua - as previously expected
The work Lotus Pond by Zhou Shaohua was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,729.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Lotus Pond is the most expensive artwork by Zhou Shaohua that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Lotus Pond von Zhou Shaohua wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.729,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Lotus Pond das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zhou Shaohua, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
