Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Ink Art, which included the work The Beginning by Zhou Luyun. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 6,133.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhou Luyun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work My Heart Is The Universe Ii in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 33,213.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Ink Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Beginning von Zhou Luyun zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 6.133,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Luyun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit My Heart Is The Universe Ii im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 33.213,18).
