Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, which included the work Five-Character Couplet In Regular Script by Zheng Wenzhuo. The price achieved of HKD 9,440.00 (€ 1,077.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zheng Wenzhuo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rubbing Of Ancient Vessels in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 77,413.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Five-Character Couplet In Regular Script von Zheng Wenzhuo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 9.440,00 (€ 1.077,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zheng Wenzhuo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rubbing Of Ancient Vessels im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 77.413,52).
