The work Chrysanthemum And Rock by Zheng Manqing was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 68,750.00 (€ 6,518.26), 72% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zheng Manqing; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Chrysanthemum And Orchild sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of HKD 76,700.00 (€ 8,211.94).

Die Arbeit Chrysanthemum And Rock von Zheng Manqing wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 6.518,26) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zheng Manqing; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Chrysanthemum And Orchild im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 76.700,00 (€ 8.211,94).
