Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zhao Zhao could be acquired at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, this work without title changed hands for HKD 317,500.00 (€ 37,176.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Zhao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Constellations No.10 (Painted In 2015) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 960,000.00 (€ 980,347.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Zhao konnte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 317.500,00 (€ 37.176,00) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Zhao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Constellations No.10 (Painted In 2015) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 960.000,00 (€ 980.347,83).
