Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhao Yi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work A Letter sold for HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,445.11) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhao Yi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of USD 16,250.00 (€ 15,128.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Yi erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit A Letter für HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.445,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhao Yi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script im März 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 15.128,95).
