Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhao Puchu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Cologne in May this year. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy sold for HKD 378,000.00 (€ 45,307.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhao Puchu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy In Regular Script sold at auction in April 2013 with the realized price of HKD 713,000.00 (€ 69,794.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Puchu erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Köln einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy für HKD 378.000,00 (€ 45.307,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhao Puchu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script im April 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 713.000,00 (€ 69.794,73).
