This artwork by Zhao Puchu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Sydney in December 2021. In the Asian Art auction, the work Calligraphy in Running Style sold for AUD 23,370.00 (€ 20,648.52) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhao Puchu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Regular Script, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 713,000.00 (€ 69,794.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Puchu erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in Sydney einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Style für AUD 23.370,00 (€ 20.648,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhao Puchu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 713.000,00 (€ 69.794,73) versteigert wurde.
