In March 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Expression by Zhao Nengzhi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 63,400.00 (€ 40,113.89), 27% above the upper estimate. Other works by Zhao Nengzhi have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 67,000.00 (€ 47,120.05) in September 2007 for the work without title.

Im März 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Expression von Zhao Nengzhi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 63.400,00 (€ 40.113,89) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Zhao Nengzhi haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 47.120,05) im September 2007 für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet.
