A top price for Zhao Mengfu
In April this year China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Landscape And Calligraphy by Zhao Mengfu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 42,930,000.00 (€ 43,839,929.35), 53% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Landscape And Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Zhao Mengfu that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April diesen Jahres führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape And Calligraphy von Zhao Mengfu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 42.930.000,00 (€ 43.839.929,35) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Landscape And Calligraphy zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Zhao Mengfu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
