Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Couplet In Clerical Script by Zhao Lengyue. The price achieved of HKD 9,440.00 (€ 1,062.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhao Lengyue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet in Regular Script in December 2020 with an auction result of AUD 9,840.00 (€ 8,045.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Couplet In Clerical Script von Zhao Lengyue zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 9.440,00 (€ 1.062,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhao Lengyue auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Regular Script im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 9.840,00 (€ 8.045,79).
