A top price for Zhao Lengyue
In December 2020 Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne held the auction Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet in Regular Script by Zhao Lengyue. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 9,840.00 (€ 8,045.79), 64% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Calligraphy Couplet in Regular Script the most expensive artwork by Zhao Lengyue that we have observed at auctions so far.
