A top price for Zhao Chengmu
This artwork by Zhao Chengmu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Finger Painted Flowers sold for USD 8,750.00 (€ 8,146.36) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. This high result makes Finger Painted Flowers the most expensive artwork by Zhao Chengmu that we have observed at auctions so far.
