In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscapes After Old Masters by Zhang Xianghe. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,572.39), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhang Xianghe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orchid And Osmanthus in April this year with an auction result of HKD 62,400.00 (€ 63,722.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscapes After Old Masters von Zhang Xianghe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.572,39) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Xianghe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orchid And Osmanthus im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 62.400,00 (€ 63.722,61).
