This artwork by Zhang Shizhao achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October 2021. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Family Correspondence sold for HKD 98,400.00 (€ 10,945.64) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Shizhao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in October this year with an auction result of HKD 936,000.00 (€ 113,191.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 97 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Shizhao erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei China Guardian einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Family Correspondence für HKD 98.400,00 (€ 10.945,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Shizhao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 936.000,00 (€ 113.191,52).
