Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Boy by Zhang Hongnian for USD 6,600.00 (€ 4,934.95). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Hongnian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Before the Long March in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 84,970.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy von Zhang Hongnian für USD 6.600,00 (€ 4.934,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Hongnian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Before the Long March im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 84.970,85).
