A top price for Zhang Hongnian - as previously expected
The work Before the Long March by Zhang Hongnian was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 84,970.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Before the Long March is the most expensive artwork by Zhang Hongnian that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Before the Long March von Zhang Hongnian kam im November 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 84.970,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Before the Long March das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zhang Hongnian, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
