In May this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale, which included this untitled work by Zhang Enli. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 4,158,000.00 (€ 498,382.39), 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Enli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maidens, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 10,050,000.00 (€ 1,193,150.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Zhang Enli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 4.158.000,00 (€ 498.382,39) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Enli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maidens beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 10.050.000,00 (€ 1.193.150,68) versteigert wurde.
