Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Two works: Untitled from the Butcher series by Zhang Enli. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 355,600.00 (€ 43,003.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Enli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maidens in May last year with an auction result of HKD 10,050,000.00 (€ 1,193,150.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two works: Untitled from the Butcher series von Zhang Enli zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 355.600,00 (€ 43.003,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Enli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maidens im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.050.000,00 (€ 1.193.150,68).
