Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Old Butcher 5 by Zhang Enli was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 3,800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 4,080,000.00 (€ 493,398.94). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Enli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maidens, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 10,050,000.00 (€ 1,193,150.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Old Butcher 5 von Zhang Enli wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 3.800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 4.080.000,00 (€ 493.398,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Enli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maidens beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 10.050.000,00 (€ 1.193.150,68) versteigert wurde.
