In March this year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Leather Hose by Zhang Enli. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,143,000.00 (€ 133,833.61), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhang Enli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maidens in May last year with an auction result of HKD 10,050,000.00 (€ 1,193,150.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leather Hose von Zhang Enli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.143.000,00 (€ 133.833,61) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Enli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maidens im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.050.000,00 (€ 1.193.150,68).
