In June 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Sayram Lake by Zhang Bu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,782.68), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Bu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blossoming Flowers, which sold at auction in October 2003 for HKD 113,525.00 (€ 12,585.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sayram Lake von Zhang Bu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.782,68) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Bu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blossoming Flowers beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für HKD 113.525,00 (€ 12.585,64) versteigert wurde.
