Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhang Bu achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Mountains And Forests sold for HKD 41,300.00 (€ 4,720.53) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Bu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blossoming Flowers, which sold at auction in October 2003 for HKD 113,525.00 (€ 12,585.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Bu erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Mountains And Forests für HKD 41.300,00 (€ 4.720,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Bu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blossoming Flowers beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für HKD 113.525,00 (€ 12.585,64) versteigert wurde.
