In September 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Fish and Cabbage by Zdzislaw Ruszkowski. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,040.00 (€ 2,249.43), 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zdzislaw Ruszkowski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape from Ireland in March 2004 with an auction result of GBP 7,767.50 (€ 11,627.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fish and Cabbage von Zdzislaw Ruszkowski zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.040,00 (€ 2.249,43) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zdzislaw Ruszkowski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape from Ireland im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.767,50 (€ 11.627,24).
