Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Red Sunset by Zaw Win Pe. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 21,250.00 (€ 2,242.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Zaw Win Pe have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2018 the work Landscape was auctioned for HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,386.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red Sunset von Zaw Win Pe zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 21.250,00 (€ 2.242,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Zaw Win Pe konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2018 die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.386,03) versteigert.
