Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Madonna And Child by Zanino di Pietro was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,308.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zanino di Pietro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Madonna Of Humility Flanked By Two Angels, which sold at auction in February 2013 for USD 71,500.00 (€ 54,667.79).
