Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Entry Of Christ Into Jerusalem by Zanino di Pietro was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,671.92). Other works by Zanino di Pietro have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in February 2013 by the work The Madonna Of Humility Flanked By Two Angels at USD 71,500.00 (€ 54,667.79).
