Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kilang Minyak (Oil factory) by Zaini was sold in the SOUTHEAST ASIAN PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Singapore in October 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SGD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of SGD 4,465.00 (€ 2,994.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zaini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boats, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 62,500.00 (€ 7,041.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kilang Minyak (Oil factory) von Zaini wurde im Oktober 2000 in der Auktion SOUTHEAST ASIAN PAINTINGS bei Christies in Singapur versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SGD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SGD 4.465,00 (€ 2.994,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Zaini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boats beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 62.500,00 (€ 7.041,56) versteigert wurde.
