Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zachary Armstrong could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fast Forward: New Directions in Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Bed Sheets For Andrea) changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,509.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zachary Armstrong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 18,191.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zachary Armstrong konnte im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fast Forward: New Directions in Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Bed Sheets For Andrea) für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.509,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zachary Armstrong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 18.191,74) versteigert wurde.
