In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work 03204 - Ruang Terawang Series by Yusra Martunus. The result of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,707.17) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yusra Martunus - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Art Series, which sold at auction in October 2012 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 18,666.08).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 03204 - Ruang Terawang Series von Yusra Martunus zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.707,17) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yusra Martunus mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Art Series beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 18.666,08) versteigert wurde.
