Despite a disappointment, a good price for Yury Krasny

In February 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Smoking Nude by Yury Krasny for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,789.57). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Russian Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Smoking Nude is the most expensive artwork by Yury Krasny that we have observed at auction so far.

Im Februar 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Smoking Nude von Yury Krasny für GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.789,57) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Russian Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Smoking Nude das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yury Krasny, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
