Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Surat 1971 (Letter 1971) by Yunizar was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. The price achieved of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 22,399.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yunizar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kisah merah (The red story), which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 907,500.00 (€ 74,711.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Surat 1971 (Letter 1971) von Yunizar wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 22.399,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yunizar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kisah merah (The red story) beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 907.500,00 (€ 74.711,28) versteigert wurde.
