Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Youssef Nabil achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2021. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, the work Self-Portrait, Istanbul sold for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,361.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Youssef Nabil have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maelema- Fifi Abdo in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 91,300.00 (€ 65,711.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Youssef Nabil erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East wurde die Arbeit Self-Portrait, Istanbul für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.361,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Youssef Nabil auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maelema- Fifi Abdo im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.300,00 (€ 65.711,82).
