Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Egyptianthree Girls In Studio, Cairo by Youssef Nabil. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,638.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Youssef Nabil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maelema- Fifi Abdo in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 91,300.00 (€ 65,711.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Egyptianthree Girls In Studio, Cairo von Youssef Nabil zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.638,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Youssef Nabil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maelema- Fifi Abdo im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.300,00 (€ 65.711,82).
