It achieved a price of GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,140.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Admittedly, works by Youssef Nabil have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maelema- Fifi Abdo in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 91,300.00 (€ 65,711.82).

Die Arbeit Ayman Sleeping, Paris, 2005 von Youssef Nabil wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 6.930,00 (€ 8.140,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Youssef Nabil auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maelema- Fifi Abdo im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.300,00 (€ 65.711,82).
