In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction Travel & Exploration, which included the work An album of twelve leaves of insect studies album size 24.8 x 32.4cm (9 3/4 x 12 3/4in). by Youqua. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,925.00 (€ 10,581.59), 49% above the upper estimate. Other works by Youqua have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,228.22) in January 2011 for the work Whampoa Anchorage.
