Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jules Chapoval achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in March 2013. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Composition, Circa 1949 sold for EUR 3,218.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Jules Chapoval have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les toits - 1947 in December last year with an auction result of EUR 19,680.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jules Chapoval erzielte im März 2013 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Composition, Circa 1949 für EUR 3.218,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules Chapoval auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les toits - 1947 im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.680,00.
