Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jules Chapoval achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in March last year. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Composition - 1949 sold for EUR 9,840.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 4,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jules Chapoval; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Les toits - 1947 sold at auction in December last year with the realized price of EUR 19,680.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jules Chapoval erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Composition - 1949 für EUR 9.840,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 4.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jules Chapoval; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Les toits - 1947 im Dezember letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 19.680,00.
