In the 20th Century Art 1900-1950 auction, the work Composition - 1949 sold for EUR 2,730.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Jules Chapoval have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les toits - 1947 in December last year with an auction result of EUR 19,680.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 82 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jules Chapoval erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art 1900-1950 wurde die Arbeit Composition - 1949 für EUR 2.730,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules Chapoval auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les toits - 1947 im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.680,00.
