Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wedding by Yosl Bergner was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2018. The price achieved of USD 56,250.00 (€ 49,100.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yosl Bergner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kushan (The Deed), which sold at auction in December 2018 for USD 162,500.00 (€ 141,847.07).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 49.100,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yosl Bergner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kushan (The Deed) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2018 für USD 162.500,00 (€ 141.847,07) versteigert wurde.
