It achieved a price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,795.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Yosl Bergner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kushan (The Deed) in December 2018 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 141,847.07).

Die Arbeit The Butterfly Girl von Yosl Bergner wurde im Dezember 2017 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 20.795,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yosl Bergner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kushan (The Deed) im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 141.847,07).
