The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,476.88), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yosl Bergner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kushan (The Deed) in December 2018 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 141,847.07).

Die Arbeit Still Life With Lamp von Yosl Bergner wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.476,88) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yosl Bergner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kushan (The Deed) im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 141.847,07).
