In December 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Mixed Flowers by Yosl Bergner. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,527.56) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yosl Bergner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kushan (The Deed) in December 2018 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 141,847.07).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mixed Flowers von Yosl Bergner zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.527,56) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yosl Bergner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kushan (The Deed) im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 141.847,07).
