Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,798.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yosl Bergner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kushan (The Deed) in December 2018 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 141,847.07).

Die Arbeit Five Graters In A Landscape von Yosl Bergner kam im Dezember 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.798,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yosl Bergner erzielen.
