Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yoshinori Mizutani could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction, the work Tokyo Parrots 012 changed hands for HKD 27,720.00 (€ 2,946.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yoshinori Mizutani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Colors 044, which sold at auction in May 2016 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 8,155.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yoshinori Mizutani konnte im Januar 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong wechselte die Arbeit Tokyo Parrots 012 für HKD 27.720,00 (€ 2.946,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yoshinori Mizutani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Colors 044 beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 8.155,59) versteigert wurde.
