Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Yin Zhaoyang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work The Skeptic sold for HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 235,358.51) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yin Zhaoyang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Glory Mountain (Painted In 2015), which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 900,000.00 (€ 919,076.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yin Zhaoyang erzielte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit The Skeptic für HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 235.358,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yin Zhaoyang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Glory Mountain (Painted In 2015) beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 900.000,00 (€ 919.076,09) versteigert wurde.
