Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Plaza No. 4 by Yin Zhaoyang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 25,738.23). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yin Zhaoyang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Glory Mountain (Painted In 2015) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 900,000.00 (€ 919,076.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Plaza No. 4 von Yin Zhaoyang im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 25.738,23) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yin Zhaoyang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Glory Mountain (Painted In 2015) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 919.076,09).
