Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work My Studio Window by Yigal Ozeri was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,813.00 (€ 2,119.98). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yigal Ozeri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lizzie in Snow in February 2017 with an auction result of USD 55,000.00 (€ 51,798.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit My Studio Window von Yigal Ozeri im Dezember 2010 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.813,00 (€ 2.119,98) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yigal Ozeri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lizzie in Snow im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 51.798,83).
